In honor of Women’s History Month, this March we will be offering Meditation by Donation every Friday afternoon.
This healing practice, incorporating gentle yoga, pranayama, guided meditation, and deep relaxation (with optional aromatherapy and reiki), is designed to reduce stress and enable the practitioner to cultivate peace, mindfulness, and self compassion. Beneficial for both novice and experienced practitioners.
Donations aid Women Helping Women, whose mission is to end domestic violence through advocacy, education and prevention, and to offer safety, support and empowerment to women and children, victims of domestic violence.
Class will be led by Leilani Walker, who, in addition to teaching this series, is also the creator of a line of aromatic elixirs, oils, home and body care products now for sale at the studio. Proceeds from sales will also be donated to WHW.
Join us Friday afternoons in March to celebrate all that women have contributed to history, culture, and society, while helping to educate, empower, and support our community!!
Fridays at 4:30pm
Leilani loves yoga. She believes that it has the power to connect us to our inner guide, reveal the truth of who we are, reset our happiness meters, and expand our compassion as we evolve from practicing yoga on the mat to the real beauty of being our practice.
Leilani has been a yoga practitioner since 2000. She completed a 240 hour certification in 2008 with The NC School of Yoga from the lineage of living yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra. In 2010 she completed an advanced yoga teacher training course with her teacher, Erich Schiffmann in Santa Barbara. She received her 500 hour certification after studying with Jill Sockman at Blue Lotus NC.
