New yoga rope wall series starts Monday, January 6th!
The yoga rope wall is a limitless resource to yoga practitioners of any age, size or level to perform asanas with the leverage and support of the ropes. The rope wall was first developed by the late B.K.S. lyengar, to provide a tool for his students to go deeper in various asanas with the traction of the ropes. In line with the alignment-based principles of the Iyengar Yoga method, the ropes can help students become more aware of the orientation of their bodies. By exploring the various standing poses, backbends and inversion with the rope wall, we will experience greater opening of our muscles while still strengthening and toning the spine in this four week class series.
Week 1 – Standing Poses & Balance
Week 2 – Shoulder & Hip Openers
Week 3 – Backbends at the Wall
Week 4 – Supported Inversions
